Into the Blue Sea Once More, Set Sail to Mexico!

Once again, I went on a Cruise to Mexico. I visited the same places but had some really new experiences. This is just to show that even if you did something similar, there is always something more to learn or take away from something.

Introduction

We left from Los Angelos cruise ship Terminal; we were cruising through Royal Carribean this time. We previously traveled with Carnival so already we were experiencing something different. The loading process wasn’t terrible and went by quick enough. The only hiccup we had was we forgot to put our luggage tag onto our luggage. We ended up using band aids, zip ties, hair ties, lint roller tape and electrical tape; overall very random items that we could get our hands on.

The Room!

But what was really awesome was that our room was ready for us and we could immediately drop off our luggage and the relief of it made the first day super nice. Last couple cruises our first day didn’t run as smooth and they felt stressful, so this was amazing.

My partner and I’s room actually got upgraded because we did the online room bid where you can have the chance to get an upgrade by the amount of money you are willing to bid. We bid $200 extra dollars and got upgraded from an interior room to an ocean view room at the front of the ship. Luckily, I didn’t get seasick with us being in the front of the ship.

Something you can do with the T.V’s that are in your room is bring a personal USB drive that has movies and you can plug it in and watch your own movies!

Plans for Mexico

We booked excursions for every day we were at port. What we decided to do was:

  • In Puerto Vallarta: Downtown & Mexican Fiesta Amigo! With Lunch.
  • In Mantazalan: Huanacoa Canopy Adventure.
  • In Cabo: 4×4 Off Road Adventure.

I gave myself a budget of $100 for the whole cruise, I kind of went over it though…. woops. I only went over because I wanted to get my partner something really nice, I think I was only $150 above my budget.

Day 1: On the Ship

We boarded the ship at 2:30pm and made it to our rooms by 4pm. After dropping our luggage in our rooms, we decided to go exploring the ship to see where everything is. The ship was beautiful, we were on the Navigator of the Seas, it had a cute little Italian town in the cedar of the ship.

As we were exploring and after the long day, we had we were hungry and went to the dining hall to eat together. It was amazing and I enjoyed everyone’s company. The food was delicious, we had Cocktail shrimp, Baked cod in a butter like sauce. and a delicious cheesecake.

Winding Down

After we ate our dinner, we talked at the dinner table for a moment then separated ways. My partner and I headed to our room, we were both pretty tired after the long day. I got ready for bed, let the day sink in and feel the joy of being on vacation. Before laying down and going to bed though I decided to read my book for about 20 minutes and then headed to bed.
